Getting started
New to Citizz? Start with How Citizz works for a full picture of customers, business categories, and team logins. This page covers your first steps in the app.
1. Install the app
Download Citizz from the Google Play Store. Use only official stores — unofficial copies can be unsafe or outdated.
2. Choose how you will use Citizz
At signup you choose the role that matches you:
- Customer — you want to find and book local services. Sign up with the customer flow (email, phone, verification).
- Business — you offer services to the public. Use business registration, then pick your category: Individual/Freelancer, Small business/Shop, or Company/Organisation.
- Team member — your employer already registered the business and gave you worker login details. Use the worker sign-in — do not register again as a new business.
You cannot use one login for both customer and business modes at the same time. Use the account type you need; contact support if you genuinely need separate accounts.
3. Customers — first actions
- Allow location when asked if you want nearby results (optional).
- Browse categories and open listings that match your need.
- Message or call the business when those options are on.
- Book a time slot when offered; add your address only if the visit is at your place. Read Before you book first.
4. Businesses — first actions
- Finish registration and verify your business email if prompted.
- Add honest photos and service descriptions — see content rules in Terms (v1.1).
- Set whether you work from a shop, visit customers, work from home, or serve online.
- Respond quickly to leads; optional paid visibility is available in the app when you are ready.
5. Accept policies
The app asks you to accept our Terms of use and Privacy policy (current version v1.1, updated 21 May 2026). Read them on this website anytime under Legal.
6. Stay safe
Citizz connects you — it does not supervise jobs on site. Read Trust & safety. Report problems through Grievance; call emergency services first if anyone is in danger.
