Trust & safety
Citizz connects customers and local businesses. We are not part of the actual job on site. These tips help everyone stay respectful and safe. Full rules are in our Terms of use and Privacy policy.
Citizz is a connecting platform
- We do not employ businesses on the app or guarantee their work.
- When a booking needs a home visit, the customer may share an address through Citizz so the business can attend. That does not mean Citizz vouches for the person or takes responsibility for what happens at the address.
- Theft, fights, harassment, injury, or any crime between users is a matter for the people involved and the police — not something Citizz is liable for. Call emergency services first if anyone is in danger.
Customers
See also Before you book (contact sharing, service payment, credentials) and Booking journey.
- Use in-app chat and Citizz call (VoIP or masked phone where offered) — do not move to a personal number or WhatsApp.
- Enter a service address only through Citizz when a home visit is required — not in side messages.
- For first visits, consider daytime appointments and letting someone know where you are.
- Never share OTPs, card numbers, or passwords with anyone claiming to be Citizz staff.
- Report pressure to pay outside the app, rude behaviour, or unsafe content.
Businesses
Operational rules (responding to bookings, staying active, consequences for idle accounts) are in Business platform standards and Terms §3.4 (v1.1).
- Describe your services honestly — photos must match what you deliver.
- Do not upload obscene, sexual, hateful, or violent images or text. Slurs and threats are not allowed. Breaking these rules can lead to immediate suspension or permanent removal without warning.
- Do not ask customers for a personal phone number, WhatsApp, or address outside Citizz when the app already provides contact.
- Use customer address and phone only for the booking they gave you — not for unrelated marketing.
- Keep communication professional and non-discriminatory.
If we remove an account for abuse
Serious abuse (including sexual or obscene photos, hate slurs, violent threats, or fraud) can lead to instant removal. Fees already paid to Citizz for platform features are generally not refunded in those cases. See Terms §3 and §5 and the Payments & refunds guide.
